About Lee Barken

Lee Barken is the IT practice leader at Haskell & White, LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors (www.hwcpa.com), where he specializes in IT auditing and internal controls testing. He leads the firm's Renewable Energy and Carbon Accounting practice, including renewable energy project finance consulting, climate change policy analysis, and verification for offsets and renewable energy credits. He is focused on helping clients understand the relationship between green house gas emissions and financial reporting.

Lee writes and speaks on the topics of carbon accounting, green building, IT audit compliance, enterprise security and wireless LAN technology. He plays an active role on the board of directors of CleanTECH San Diego and the US Green Building Council, San Diego Chapter, where he serves as the organization's Treasurer. He is also a member of the AICPA Cap and Trade Policy Task Force, the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol Stakeholder Advisory Group, and the Climate Disclosure Standards Board Advisory Committee.
