Past Meeting: Tuesday, January 10, 2012

You will learn how cultural differences impact financial industry professionals in complex situations like M&A, as well as in managing and integrating cross cultural working entities.  With a framework for approaching international interactions, you will be prepared to avoid costly mistakes and unnecessary risk.  In the global market place, cross-cultural core competences allow you to seize new opportunities and significantly impact everything from building relationships and negotiating to team and risk management. This meeting should be an eye-opening experience and a very comprehensive review of the issue.

During our meeting, Denise will discuss:

  • How to develop a cultural due diligence process?
  • How to communicate effectively across cultures?
  • How to establish goals and measure performance?
  • How to recognize success and reward employees?
  • How to establish reporting structure and determine control?

The meeting will be highly interactive, so bring your openness, curiosity, attention and any questions relevant to the broad area of running cross-border acquisitions, departments, divisions, companies. We look forward to a great talk and some lively networking over bagels and coffee.
